Volunteering

How can I help?

Few things in life are more rewarding than seeing the gratitude expressed by a new homeowner when they are presented with the keys to their new home. The knowledge that you were able to help a family realize a dream, possibly a new beginning, can be tremendously satisfying.

Habitat is founded on its volunteers, and it takes dozens to complete a build.

In many cases, no formal experience in the trades is necessary, just a desire to help and the ability to cheerfully take direction. For any task you are asked to do, we can provide the needed instruction / safety information.

We are always looking for volunteers with or without construction skills and some time as well.

Crew leaders, greeters, hammer swingers, sandwich makers, all are welcomed!

Contact the volunteer coordinator, Nicole Bissonette for more information.

We currently have an immediate need for volunteer members of the Family Partnership Committee. If you could lend a hand in this way, please contact Nicole using the above link!

This committee works with Habitat families before, during and after the build. They work to help families budget, keep track of sweat equity hours, assist during the build and are the liaison between Habitat and the family. Additionally, volunteers on this committee plan family educational workshops.
