Habitat for Humanity Looking for Partner Families in Saratoga Springs
Saratoga Springs, NY, 9/11/2013— Habitat for Humanity of Northern Saratoga, Warren and Washington Counties is hosting a Family Information Night on Thursday, September 19th at 530pm in the Glasby Room at Saratoga Springs Public Library.
At Family Information Night, individuals will learn how to apply to become a Habitat for Humanity Partner Family. They will go over all aspects of the application process and learn about what will be expected of you if you are chosen as a Habitat Partner Family.
“Often time’s families are daunted by their credit report and the budgeting part of the application. To assist in these areas we have asked the Saratoga Community Federal Credit Union to create this presentation with us,” said Courtney Shaler Smith, Executive Director for Habitat for Humanity.
The credit union will be on hand with sample budgets, slide show notes, and 66 ways to save. Presentation will also include reviewing and understanding your credit report, and how to prepare your own budget.
“We are very happy to be offering this event in Saratoga Springs, and encourage anyone interested in learning more about being a Habitat Partner Family to attend,” said Courtney Shaler Smith, Executive Director for Habitat for Humanity.
Participants will walk away with a great foundation to start the application process, along with an increased knowledge on what it means to be a Partner Family with Habitat for Humanity of Northern Saratoga, Warren and Washington Counties.
